Change the world with Movies that Matter

While folks all over the world are getting ready for the holiday season, we wanted to figure out a away to do a little more this year. So we’ve partnered with Witness.org, the Human Rights organization founded by legendary musician and activist Peter Gabriel, to bring you a special promotion.

Starting today, Jaman will feature “Movies that Matter” – extraordinary films with a powerful message of social change. Through January 16, when you watch one of these amazing documentaries, Jaman will donate proceeds to the WITNESS organization. WITNESS uses video and online technologies to open the eyes of the world to human rights violations and empowers people to transform personal stories of abuse into powerful tools for justice, promoting public engagement and policy change.

Jaman was founded to offer films that engage and inspire, so WITNESS was a natural fit for us as we share socially-conscious films with our global audience,” says Gaurav Dhillon, our founder, CEO and fearless leader. “Through this collaboration, not only will people be able to view great films from around the world, they will also be helping an incredible organization continue to promote change.”

Because art and film can transform personal stories into powerful tools for change, “Movies that Matter” features films that highlight a variety of political, environmental and social issues.

WITNESS believes in the power of storytelling and video to change the world,” said WITNESS co-founder Peter Gabriel. “Through ‘Movies that Matter“, Jaman is offering viewers an opportunity to not only learn more about issues that matter, but at the same time make a positive impact on the world, by supporting our cause.”
