Rose McGowan and Jessica Alba Catfight?
News of Barbarella’s director Robert Rodriquez break up with fiancée Rose McGowan may leave an empty hole in the cast of the films remake. Rodriquez, whom is best known for Spy Kids, From Dusk Till Dawn, El Mariachi, Grindhouse and Sin City, is slated to direct the remake of the Jane Fonda Classic. McGowen was suppose to play the lead- but as Hollywood holds true to form, a breakup can hurt your career. There is also speculation that Rodriquez was told by studio execs to ditch her because of her lack of box office draw. Who is Rodriquez considering, well the talentless Jessica Alba.

Huh - I’d heard/read that Rodriguez and McGowan had shifted their sights to RED SONJA.
I tend to believe that classics should indeed be left alone, and yet I’d be curious to see what Rodriguez & McGowan would have made of either vehicle.

I can’t believe that after ending his marriage of so many years for McGowan they’re already done.
While I do think classics are better than the remakes - McGowan does have the figure and the old Hollywood look in her bone structure to have pulled off the movie. Coulda been a pretty charming campy adventure.
