With the lunchtime conversation turning to cover songs today at Jaman (specifically an engineer's growing collection of cover versions of the Eagles' Hotel California [see above]), I felt I couldn't post this. Yesterday it was our pleasure to turn live on the site (for US customers) Dolan's Cadillac, an indie adaptation of Stephen King's story starring Wes Bentley and Christian Slater. A little research on the film before turning it live yielded a two-minute version on YouTube by some aspiring (or perhaps simply bored) young filmmakers:
Even stranger was finding that this wasn't the only seconds-long YouTube version of the film made by teenagers...
Who knew that King's opus of grief and revenge would prove so ripe for re-interpretation? We salute thee, young filmmakers, and thee too, Mr. King.
